“The uncharacteristically close-mouthed detective continues to ignore all inquires about the unknown woman frequently seen entering Holmes’ infamous Baker Street residence,” Molly read aloud.
“I wouldn’t call it frequently,” Sherlock interjected. He nudged Molly’s tablet out of the way so he could pillow his head on her bare thighs as she continued to ignore his obviously amorous hints. “Nightly would be more precise. Almost as if you lived there.”
“Hush.” Molly readjusted the tablet and continued reading. “Kitty goes on to say ‘Sources close to the detective have confirmed that the secretive duo left for China late last week. Just how serious this unexpected relationship is, and what former domestic partner John Watson thinks about it, remains to be seen.’ Oh, John will love that. What does she mean, sources?”
“Anderson.” Sherlock plucked the tablet out of her hands. “He posted an update on his ‘Empty Hearse’ fan site two days ago. Apparently, we were spotted in Beijing on Friday.”
“But we weren’t. He knows that, he saw us yesterday. He asked if we’d bring him back some Lingonberry jam from our honeymoon and you told him to bugger off. Why would he … Oh.”
Sherlock kissed her knee. “Wedding present.”
