It's Cold Outside

2. Prompt - Snowed-In
Fandom – Sherlock
Ship – Sherlolly, Sherlock/Molly
Title – It’s Cold Outside

“Molly.”

“Hmm?” She absentmindedly looked up from her book to glance at the fire in case she needed to add another log, then turned her attention to Sherlock.

He was still stretched out on her sofa, his bare feet tucked under one of the throw pillows; but unlike most of the night, his eyes were open and focused on her.

“How long has it been snowing?”

Her watch indicated it was just after midnight, so she did some quick math. “Five, maybe six hours.” She reached for her wine and took a sip.

He quickly sat up and whipped his head around to stared out the window in horror. The flurries were still going strong. “Why didn’t you say anything?”

She tucked a scrap of paper into her book and set it aside. “I did. You grunted—"

“I don’t grunt.”

“—and rolled over.”

They looked at each other for a long moment.

“You’re not going to get back to Baker Street tonight.”

“Am I sleeping out here?” Sherlock knew their relationship had grown stronger; but he hadn’t slept over since the Sherrinford incident

“I considered it, but I thought I might get cold feet. Literally. Come keep me warm, Sherlock.”
