A/N - One of thirty-one prompts for the thirty-one days of July. I plan to fill as many of them as I can with two hundred word drabbles.
Big Enough for Two
30. Prompt – There’s only one bed
Fandom – Star Wars Sequel Trilogy
Ship – Reylo, Rey/Ben Solo
Title – Big Enough for Two
There were some—very few—who thought the Millennium Falcon should have been passed down to Ben Solo. Even more who believed it should have been given back to Lando Calrissian, or handed over to Han’s longtime copilot Chewbacca. But the majority of people who had an opinion on the matter agreed that the Falcon belonged to Rey.
Ben was one of them.
Therefore, when Chewie decided he was done flying and Ben agreed to join the Falcon crew, it was immediately understood that he would be copilot to Rey’s captain.
Which is how he found himself standing in the doorway to the captain’s quarters begging to share Rey’s bed.
“What’s wrong with yours?” Rey asked, clearly amused. Ben suspected she already knew exactly what was wrong.
“The mattress smells like damp wookie. Not to mention the furballs lurking in every corner.” He shuddered.
Rey didn’t bother hiding her grin. “We’ll get cleaning supplies the next time we dock somewhere safe.”
“And until then?”
She remained silent long enough that he began to worry. Eventually, Rey rolled her eyes and gestured toward the bed. “If you snore, I’m kicking you out.”
Ben knew when not to press his luck. “Understood.”
